Therapists
Ellen Henry
I am a NY state licensed massage therapist and a graduate of Point Park University, where I first dove into the anatomy, kinesiology, and true breakdown of how we move our bodies. Since moving to New York in 2014, I have expanded my knowledge of the body by pursuing dance professionally and taking a multitude of dance, cycle, yoga, pilates, and other strength training classes.
I graduated from the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences where I gained advance knowledge in Swedish massage, Shiatsu, myofascial release, sports massage, trigger point release, and assessment techniques. There I graduated Suma Cum Laude and had the privilege of holding externships with the Hospital of Special Surgery and the NYC marathon. All of this experience has allowed me the opportunity to connect with different bodies and gain proficiency in my practice.
Isabel Umali
I graduated from Stillpoint, BCST (2019), under the direction of Franklyn Sills and Clara Favale.
My rigorous and physical life as a professional dancer brought me to biodynamic craniosacral therapy as a client. After two concussions, and lots of work with neurologists and physical therapists, BCST was indeed the only healing modality that treated me holistically and supported my full recovery. The insights I gained from these experiences have helped me develop acute and sensitive listening abilities, allowing me to be a present, grounded, and body-oriented practitioner. I am committed to serving a diverse community including low-income peoples, artists, and those who struggle to find therapy that meets their needs. I have found BCST very helpful for a wide range of conditions encompassing injuries both acute and built over time, stress and anxiety, depression, insomnia, migraines, concussions, emotional and physical trauma, and so much more.
